Hello, my name is Chi, and my gallery is called Chi’s Sweet Art.

If you’ve taken a moment to explore my work, you may have noticed that it carries an intensity of emotion and storytelling. My art is deeply personal—it is the voice I’ve found after enduring years of silence through an abusive past and a still-challenging present.

Much of what I create reflects themes of pain, horror, betrayal, and sorrow—not imagined, but lived. During my time with an abusive partner, I survived physical violence, infidelity, sexual assault, and an attempt on my life. These traumas, compounded by experiences of homelessness, mental and emotional abuse, and deep betrayal, have shaped not only who I am but how I create.

The women I paint—often beautiful yet broken, raw and grieving—are pieces of myself. They embody the pain I’ve endured, the truths I’ve held tightly, and the healing I continue to seek. Through them, I tell my story. Through them, I find my strength.

My deepest hope is that as you view my work, you not only see the artistry, but feel the emotions—the vulnerability, the endurance, and the journey toward healing. Thank you for taking the time to join me in this space.
